Play drums anywhere
Real samples, zero latency, one tap away. Every sound is decoded once and fires instantly, so the app keeps up with fast rolls and ghost notes. Nine velocity sensitive pads respond to how hard you hit, just like a real virtual drum kit should.
Sixteen drum kits
Rock, Dry Studio, Overdrive, Ambient, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, DJ, Brush, Bongos, Lo-Fi, Percussion and the classic 808 and 909. Press play on any kit to hear it before you switch. Your pad layout is remembered per kit.
Build your own kit
Drag, add and resize pads until the layout feels like yours. Put the hi-hat where your left hand expects it and the ride where your right hand lives. Extra samples such as a second crash or a third tom wait in the pad drawer. A mixer per pad and an effects view let you shape the sound.
Record and export
Press record, play your take and listen back straight away, up to ten minutes per take. Pro exports the recording as MP3 or as MIDI, so you can drop your groove into your DAW or turn it into a drum sheet.
Your phone is the drums
Open any song on Play Drums Online, choose Mobile phone as input and enter the six digit code in the app's Remote view. Every hit on your phone lands in the online drum game on your laptop or TV. No cables, no MIDI interface. The same room code lets a friend jam along from anywhere.

Both are free and both are made by us. The online drum kit runs in your browser and is played with your computer keyboard or an electronic drum kit, which makes it ideal at a desk. The Drum Kit app is built for touch: velocity pads, sixteen kits, recording and a layout you can rearrange with your fingers. On a phone or tablet the app is the better virtual drums. Together they form one setup, because the app can act as the drum pads for the online game.
